Kristen Tworek

Biography

Kristen Tworek came to Cortez four years ago after deciding it was time for a life change. Leaving behind a corporate accounting job on the east coast, she took an AmeriCorps position with The Bridge Emergency Shelter. Though it was a vast change from her former life, she quickly fell in love with the beauty of the Southwest and the Four Corners community. Kristen is passionate about building and strengthening her community. Currently, she serves as the Executive Director of The Good Samaritan Center, a staff member at The Bridge Emergency Shelter, along with her work at SCYC. She volunteers as a mentor for the Pinon project and is a board member at KSJD. In her free time, Kristen and her dog, Sam, can be found kayaking, hiking, camping and taking her Ford Focus where no Ford Focus has gone before.
