An event every week that begins at 6:00pm on Tuesday, repeating indefinitely
Want to learn how to start your own business or what you can do in your community to support others? Need to check off some of those community service hours required for your graduation? Join youth from area schools, meet new friends, do activities and gain real life knowledge and skills.
Youth are provided the opportunity to build and practice leadership skills through discussing, planning and implementing community service projects. When not working on a project we will have community members come and share their strengths and insights of how to engage in the community, get a job, start a business or fill out a loan application. We also will find lots of time to do activities and have fun playing games or watching movies!
Do you have musical or spoken word talents? Do you want to build new skill running a soundboard? This group also hosts a monthly Open Mic night at Moose and More in downtown Cortez. Prizes are awarded to the first ten participants! A fun and engaging way to practice public speaking and organizing!
Meetings are weekly and free of cost. Dinner will be provided. Contact Cindy for more information: 970-394-9183.
